Holly Petaja
Holly Petaja, Ph.D.

Dr. Petaja is a clinical psychologist who specializes in working with school-age children and young adolescents presenting with various forms of anxiety, including excessive worry, fears, separation anxiety, social anxiety, and perfectionism. Dr. Petaja also has experience working with those who have been identified as gifted/highly capable or twice-exceptional (2e) and the unique challenges they may face, including emotional intensity. She provides positive, strengths-based treatment using primarily Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Cognitive-behavioral therapy focuses on teaching coping skills and new ways of thinking to build resilience and cope with strong emotions. Parents play a large role in the therapy process and Dr. Petaja enjoys working with parents and children as a team. Dr. Petaja is also available to provide testing/assessment necessary for school admissions (e.g., IQ/cognitive testing, early entrance). Dr. Petaja completed her undergraduate work at the University of Washington and received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Seattle Pacific University in 2008. She subsequently completed two years of postdoctoral training at the University of Washington’s Child Development Clinic as well as Sound Health.

Jessica M. Mason, Psy.D.

Dr. Mason is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides short- and long-term therapy to individual adults and couples. She graduated from the University of Washington and then went on to Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, California, for both her master's and doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Mason’s clinical work focuses on issues of stress, identity, depression, anxiety, family conflict, marital problems, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, traumatic experiences, and difficult life changes. She has additional experience in the areas of anger management, relationship building, and self-esteem. Dr. Mason incorporates a culturally-sensitive approach, emphasizing client strengths and self-care. She utilizes techniques from psychodynamic and client-centered therapies and has received specialized training on techniques for working with couples in Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Levels 1 and 2), Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy.

Kira B. Mauseth, Ph.D.

Dr. Mauseth is a graduate of Whitman College and Seattle Pacific University and has worked extensively in corrections settings as well in community mental health with adolescents and adults doing clinical and forensic assessments as well as group and individual therapy. She works with clients aged 13 and older, on issues including peer adjustment and identity development, anxiety and depression, and academic and vocational concerns. She is interested in cross-cultural and family relationship issues, as well as crisis management and persistent and serious mental illness. Her work combines cognitive and interpersonal approaches in seeking reality-based solutions to mental health concerns. Dr. Mauseth also consults with organizations about disaster preparedness and recovery and has developed a curriculum to teach local volunteers how they can assist their communities with trauma recovery and resiliency following small or large-scale disasters.

Stacy Cecchet, Ph.D., A.B.P.P.

Dr. Cecchet earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is also board certified in couple and family psychology. Dr. Cecchet specializes in trauma and violent sex crimes such as: those investigated by Internet Crimes Against Children task forces (i.e., child pornography, online victimization of children); sex trafficking; child sexual abuse; child torture; and serial rape. She conducts a significant number of evaluations assessing psychosexual risk/sexual deviancy, trauma, psychopathology, risk for violent crime, psychopathy, and child abuse. Dr. Cecchet has specialized training in behavioral analysis, developmental pathways associated with offending behavior, sex offender typologies and behavioral characteristics, competency, and criminal responsibility. She consults regularly with state, local, and federal agencies, including: the Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Investigations, United States Marine Corps, National Center for Victims of Crime, Vatican, Cold Case Foundation, Naval Criminal Investigative Service, Secret Service, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Dr. Cecchet is also the chair of the sex abuse review board for the Conventual Franciscans of California. She works nationally to provide consultation and training across all branches of law enforcement on vicarious trauma and behavioral health impacts of being a first responder.

Debby Fields, MS, LMHC

Debby Fields is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Master’s of Science in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from California State University. Debby is also a Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), a therapeutic parenting method for children with a history of trauma, practitioner and educator. Debby has worked extensively with adoptive parents guiding them through attachment and relationship challenges. She also works with individual adults helping them process and overcome unmet needs from their childhood or histories of trauma. Debby also works with couples who are struggling with relationship and communication challenges, helping them get to the root of the beliefs and behaviors that are damaging their trust and connection. She has a deep understanding of how an individual’s attachment experiences affect their significant relationships, their self-worth, and their parenting. Debby is well versed in working with families experiencing blocked care and helping parents understand and cope with the challenges of parenting children with blocked trust.

Debby provides individual adults and couples with an environment where they can feel heard, understood, and fully accepted as they work through the challenges getting in their way of living peacefully. Debby’s goal is to help clients recognize the source of harmful thoughts and fears that are causing conflict in their lives and to help them find peace within themselves and in their relationships.

Fabrienne Doll, MA, LMFT, CMHS

Fabrienne Doll is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who received her Master of Arts degree in Psychology, with an emphasis in Couple and Family Therapy, from Antioch University in Seattle. Prior to that, she received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a Minor in Spanish, from The University of Washington in Seattle. Since 2015, Fabrienne has worked in an outpatient mental health setting providing trauma-focused therapy with children, teenagers, and young adults with a history of sexual abuse, physical abuse, and/or witnesses to violent crimes. In that setting, Fabrienne also currently supervises clinical interns. Fabrienne has completed a variety of training for treating posttraumatic stress, anxiety, depression, crisis interventions, family conflict, and children’s behavioral concerns. Fabrienne is certified in several Evidenced-Based Practices, such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Fabrienne also utilizes a variety of techniques and interventions derived from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment theory, and Alternatives for Families-A Cognitive Behavioral Approach (AF-CBT). Fabrienne currently works with children 6 years and older, teenagers, adults, and families. Her specialty is working with trauma, but she also enjoys working with individuals or families who are experiencing stressful life transitions, struggling with depression or anxiety, or interested in working on symptoms related to identity formation. Fabrienne enjoys working with individuals from a variety of cultural backgrounds and can provide some limited communication in Spanish, but is not currently providing therapy in Spanish. Her goal is to help individuals and families tap into the strengths that they already possess in order to increase resiliency and learn new and healthier patterns of interacting with loved with ones.

Jasmine Waltz Bauer, Psy.D.

Dr. Waltz Bauer grew up in the Snohomish area and graduated in 2004 from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.  She then moved to California to pursue graduate education, receiving a Masters in Marital and Family Therapy in 2008 and her Doctorate of Psychology in 2014, both from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University.  From 2005 until 2016, she provided counseling services in settings including non-profit mental health clinics, county mental health programs,  community college health clinics, and public elementary and secondary schools.  Dr. Waltz Bauer currently provides parent coaching services to families with children between the ages of 0-18 years old, working on issues such as family conflict, life transitions, self-esteem, social skills, and grief and loss.  Dr. Waltz Bauer works collaboratively with her coaching clients to set goals and empower families to find creative solutions to current challenges.

Laura completed her graduate studies at Friends University in Wichita, Kansas in Marriage and Family therapy in 2016. Laura worked almost three years as a crisis therapist, serving a community mental health organization in Wichita, Kansas, before moving to Washington state and joining Snohomish Psychology Associates in 2019. Laura uses evidence-based therapies and interventions to work with clients. Laura has specialized training in Neuroscience for Mental Health, Mind/Body Skills, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-informed/Focused therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Couples communication and Gottman Couples Therapy –Levels 1 and 2. Laura’s therapeutic orientation is based on family systems and attachment theory. Laura’s goals in working with clients is to connect to each person using her strengths of compassion, understanding, and empathy to honor and respect each person’s life, experiences and perspectives while using her knowledge and training to collaborate with them to work through whatever difficulties or concerns are impacting their quality of life. Sadie Teal, Ph.D.

Dr. Teal is a licensed clinical psychologist who received her masters and doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from Seattle Pacific University. She has worked extensively in university counseling centers as well as corrections settings on a variety of mental health concerns in both individual and group therapy. Dr. Teal works with adults with mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, identity development, adjustment concerns, trauma, and interpersonal concerns. She approaches therapy as a collaborative experience between the therapist and the client, primarily working from an integrative approach consisting of cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal orientations. She believes it is important to approach therapy holistically with consideration of biological, psychological, social, and spiritual well-being. Dr. Teal’s goal for each client is to offer a space in which the client’s story is heard and valued. It is her hope that through the counseling process, each client may gain understanding of his or her challenges and feel encouraged to work towards building a life that is meaningful to each client.

Sarah Zehrung, MA, LMFT, CMHS

Sarah (Sally) Zehrung is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, receiving a Master of Arts in clinical psychology from Antioch University Seattle, and Bachelor of Arts in psychology with an emphasis in multicultural counseling from The Evergreen State College. Over the past nine years, Sally has worked in various capacities, providing mental health care, crisis stabilization, and case management to adults in hospital, shelter, and residential settings. Most recently, she has worked in an outpatient setting, where she has gained extensive training in treating survivors of sexual abuse and their families using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT). Sally focuses her practice on children beginning at age 6, teens, and adults who want to work on issues related to trauma, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions, chronic illness, and parenting concerns such as behavior management and self-soothing techniques. Sally uses various techniques and interventions related to cognitive-behavior therapy, narrative therapy, humor, and mindfulness practices. Sally’s passion is in helping clients find their voice and their ability to live a confident and fulfilling life by providing compassion, empathy, and a safe and trusting environment.

Tish Rogers is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, receiving a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from University of Missouri-Columbia, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Stephens College and Associate of Arts from Cottey College. Tish has worked in community, inpatient psychiatric, emergency room, hospital, renal and outpatient treatment settings.  Tish most recently worked in a large medical system, within the context of primary care, providing short-term solution focused treatment primarily using Cognitive Behavioral Treatment (CBT).  Tish has been trained in ACT, motivational interviewing, DBT, PPACT (CBT for Pain), and Substance Use Disorders. Tish’s practice will focus on adults who need support with Depression, Anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss, communication/relationship issues (not couples), Parenting children with Special Needs, and Lifestyle Changes around alcohol or drug use/misuse.  Tish’s goal is to create a space where clients feel heard, known and understood. Adele Larsson, Ph.D.

Adele A. Larsson, PhD earned her B.S. in Psychology in 2011 from Michigan State University and her PhD in School Psychology from Ball State University in 2018 with a focus on neuropsychology and speech-language pathology. She completed her predoctoral internship with the Colorado Department of Corrections and her postdoctoral work in neuropsychology at a private practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Dr. Larsson offers neuropsychological and psychological evaluations to provide diagnostic clarity, including diagnosis of ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (children only), Non-Verbal Learning Disorders, Neurocognitive decline (TBI/concussion, stroke), learning disorders, mood disorders, behavioral disorders, and personality disorders. It is her goal to tailor recommendations to meet the needs of each patient, whether that be interventions for the academic environment, accommodations to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), or resources to promote healthy cognitive, mental, and physical health. Dr. Larsson does not offer therapy services.

Jana Robison, MSN, PMHNP-BC

Jana Robison is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who received her master's degree in psychiatric nursing from Gonzaga University. She is trained to diagnose and treat psychiatric conditions and offers medication management and some psychotherapy services.

Jana is passionate about working with children and adolescents ranging between 8 years old through adulthood. She values collaboration and working with the client and the whole family unit. Jana understands that when one member of the family struggles, it affects the entire family. Jana believes that families are doing their best with what they know, and emotions can run high in times of crisis. She strives to create a safe space, free of judgment, stigma, and prejudice, when working out a treatment plan that is culturally competent, holistic, and focused on wellness. Medication may not always be indicated, but she will take time to explain potential risks, benefits, and expectations when it is.

Jana's clinical area of focus includes anxiety, depression, PTSD, eating disorders, ADHD, bipolar spectrum disorders, substance use, suicidality/self-harming behaviors, and early-onset schizophrenia. Her treatment approach includes medication management when warranted, psychotherapy to improve coping skills, communication strategies to bring families closer together, modifications regarding sleep hygiene habits, screen time education and intervention, complementary therapies, diet, and exercise.

Susan Jones, MSN, PMHNP-BC

Susan Jones is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, licensed to diagnose and treat a wide range of concerns across the lifespan, including medication management and psychotherapy.  With over 30 years of experience in healthcare, Susan has specialized in caregiver stress and trauma, supportive therapy for grief, loss and adjustment to life changes and challenges. Her past roles include ICU and ER registered nurse, Family Nurse Practitioner, Clinical faculty positions at UW and UCLA, leadership positions in research and training health care providers to integrate mental health care into primary care. Susan uses a holistic (Mind/body/spirit) approach, incorporating both medical and nursing models with psychotherapy as well as some elements of spiritual direction for those that seek it. As a health care educator and mentor, Susan uses strength building, self care, decision making and coaching techniques in her practice.  Susan enjoys working cross culturally and with immigrants.

Maya Jungmann, Office Manager

Maya received her Bachelor's in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Forensic Psychology from Seattle University. She began as an intern for Dr. Stacy Cecchet at Obsidian Forensics in 2018 and is now the Senior Forensic Executive Assistant, helping with record review, administrative tasks, and summarizing forensic/civil cases. Her areas of research included the social psychology of cults, psychopathy, and the correlation between mental health and violent crime. Maya spends time in both our Everett and Edmonds offices Monday through Friday, fielding referrals, and assisting with the operation and business of both offices.

Snohomish Psychology Associates is looking for Licensed Psychologists and Licensed Masters-Level Clinicians experienced in evidence-based treatments and able to work with a diverse population of clients. SPA serves individual adults, couples, adolescents, and children ages 18 months to age 12 years. We welcome all specialties. SPA has offices in Everett and Edmonds, WA. We have group contracts with a variety of insurance companies allowing providers to become paneled quickly.
